Human Embryonic Stem Cells

Human embryonic stem cells (hESC) and also induced pluripotent cells (iPSC) are pluripotent cells that are able to differentiate into all derivatives of the three primary germ layers and more than 220 cell types in the adult body. Under defined conditions, hESC or iPSC are capable of propagating indefinitely without losing pluripotency, thus can be used as a source of therapeutic cell product for many diseases treatment, transplantation and tissue engineering.
